Department of Conservation advises the Waingongoro Swingbridge in Egmont National Park will be closed from late August and through September to allow contractors to install a new bridge.

The section of Waingongoro Track from the Enchanted Track junction to the swingbridge will be closed during this time.

There is no other access across the Waingongoro River.
